Ampesi ne nkontomire" or Ampesi and nkontomire is a very delicious Ghanaian meal.
Ampesi could either be Plantain, Yam, Cocoyam or sometimes Cassava (yuca) which is peeled and cut into desirable slices and then boiled with some salt to taste.

Nkontomire on the other hand stands for carefully selected fresh cocoyam leaves that are boiled,ground or blended into a paste and made into a sauce.
