The West African Examination Council has officially announced for the information of the general public especially candidates who took part in its Senior Secondary Examinations that results for the 2014 May/June exams has been released.
Out of the 242,162 candidates who wrote the examination, 68,062 of them, representing 28.11%, made grade A1 to C6 in at least six subjects, including Core Mathematics and English Language, and are, therefore, eligible for admission to tertiary institutions.
A statement signed by the Principal Public Affairs Officer, Mrs. Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, explained that the council had already posted the results online and candidates desirous of knowing their results could access it at the WAEC website using a scratch card.
It also said the council was in the process of dispatching the results to schools and adviced candidates to contact the heads of their former schools for their results
